July 24, 2008 (TopHosts News Brief) Chicago-based managed and dedicated Web hosting provider, SingleHop said it will be upgrading all server configurations for new clients to a minimum of 2GB of RAM. All existing clients will get a free upgrade to 2GB of RAM.
This means that the servers of all SingleHop’s customers will run at “levels exceeding industry standards.”
Zak Boca, President and CEO of SingleHop, comments on the need to boost server configurations: “Roughly 40% of the 1,000+ servers we have online right now have less than 2 GB of RAM. In today’s computing environment, websites simply need more resources to function better and load faster.”
Boca adds: “Because our customers tend to stay with us for a long time we want to insure that they continually receive access to the best hardware and software options available. That’s why we have decided that we will offer a free upgrade to 2 GB of RAM to every single SingleHop customer, regardless of how much they spend.”
SingleHop recently launched their new first-of-its-kind web portal, LEAP webtop, which offers clients the ability to manage their dedicated servers in a desktop-style interface, directly from their browser. Visit http://www.singlehop.com to learn more.
